Chilled Cantaloupe Soup with Lavender Garnish

Perfect beginning to a Spring holiday brunch. Serve it in glasses and pass around to guests as they mingle.

 

3 cups (equals one cantaloupe) chopped fresh cantaloupe

1/2 cup orange juice

1/2 cup half & half

1 Tablespoon local honey

1 Tablespoon lime juice

1 teaspoon vanilla

Lavender sprigs

 

Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Serve chilled with a sprig of lavender in each glass

 

Makes 4 - 6 bowls
